Hidden room in St Donat's, 9th cent.
In a stormy night, when in every flash of lightning the church bell-towers appeared some place else, a shadow ran through the gallery of St Donat's church. It stopped on the North-Eastern apse, looked around, bent over and quietly disappeared in a mysterious hole. The credibility of the whole story is undermined by the illogical presumption that it is possible to enter the floor of the gallery under which there is the ceiling of the ground floor. This is what makes St Donat's a misterious place. 1100 years passed until people discovered that between the North-Eastern apse on the ground floor and the ceiling of its version on the first floor there is a hidden and mysterious chamber, 2.5 m high. It is since called the hidden room.
